  • CIPC has requested a detailed list of changes between the old MOI and the current one (that was approved by Members in 2017).

Service Delivery

  • Discussed challenges of getting CoJ to deliver services. Will persevere.
  • Agreed to try contact the ‘owners’ of the steel donations bin on the pavement outside the Spar to have it removed
  • Reported on cutting grass verges and cleaning up the river and bridge areas.
  • Provided update on working with the Alpha Omega Mission under the direction of Greg Tarr to fill potholes and fix the trench next to Montessori Reaffirmed BRA will carry the costs of material.

Security Review

  • Engaging with Waterfall for access to their LPR cameras.
  • Engaging with 7Arrows Security
  • Security cameras on Perth had been repaired. Reported on cameras at Gibson and Parkville.
  • Discussed the need for more cameras, including on Alison, Margaret/Buccleuch, and the Gibson Drive circle.
  • Discussed loiterers, litter, drinking and drugs  at the Spar bridge and on the pavement outside the bottle store. Agreed to investigate laying down rocks to deter gatherings and erecting security palisades and gates.
  • Reported how the poles installed by BRA on the corner of Muller and Gibson had successfully removed Uber and Taxify drivers that were impeding visibility. However, they had simply moved to other areas in Buccleuch.
  • Discussed the incidence of Uber and Taxify vehicles on Sandra, as well as people looking for work. Agreed to approach Balwin and Waterfall security to investigate a joint solution and to engage with the drivers and workseekers. Need to consider freedom of movement, whether the cars are a security hazard or impeding traffic or visibility, and that any restriction of access to the space will likely result in the cars simply moving to another area in Buccleuch.
