During March 2017, one of our residents and a BRA member, Charl Moller approached a couple of neighbours in the houses and streets surrounding his, with an idea to assist in cleaning up their part of Buccleuch.

The idea was to employ someone one day a week, at a decent salary, to clean up the sidewalks of Parkville Place and its side-streets. not only to clean and beautify the environment, but also to provide assistance and employment to someone.

The positive impact was immediately apparent and it is safe to say that Parkville Place is probably the best-kept, cleanest street in all Buccleuch.  Residents noticed this and more and more residents came aboard - so that as of this month, this group - Buccleanup - will be employing two workers to look after Parkville, Beatty and Muller South.

A big thank you also to the contributors from the Divine Life Society who took this one step further and employs one of the team for a extra day per week to keep their land on Parkville neat and clean - in this way the group has almost given full time employment to Nkasi - and he does a fantastic job!
