It was noticed that during this week that there were signs up at Frankenwald informing of a meeting for landless people of Alex assembly on the 29th of June and for them to invade Frankenwald on the 2nd of July 2017.

The Sandton CPF Sector 4 Chair, Andrew McMurray was aware of the situation and has been in contact with SPS, Security companies and WITS.

He had a meeting with Sandton SAPS on the 29 June 2017 and informed BRACe that the highest levels of the Sandton SAPS was aware of the situation.

This morning, 30 June 2017, Steven Freemantle BRACe Director shared with the community of Buccleuch that WITS got a court order against the landless people of Alex Assembly.

The message received read: "Well done to Wits who have secured a preventative court order against the proposed land invasion of Frankenwald. The Sheriff, SAPS and JMPD have been notified."
