INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE: THE PROPOSED STORMWATER INFRASTRUCTURE UPGRADE AT GIBSON DRIVE, BUCCLEUCH PHASE 2: PIPE JACKING; CITY OF JOHANNESBURG, GAUTENG PROVINCE
 
Envirolution Consulting (Pty) Ltd has been appointed by the Johannesburg Roads Agency to conduct a Basic Assessment for the stormwater infrastructure upgrade at Gibson drive, Buccleuch Phase 2: Pipe Jacking; City of Johannesburg, Gauteng Province. As part of the Basic Assessment process, potential Interested and Affected Parties (I&APs) and Stakeholders must be informed about the proposed project and invited to take part or participate as interested  and Affected parties. Envirolution Consulting will conduct the public participation process for the proposed development.

The department and/or the organisation which you represent has been identified as an I&AP for the proposed project. In this regard, please can you provide us with the name and contact details of the relevant contact person at your organisation/department who we would liaise with regarding this project. By registering on the project database, you will receive all information relating to the project and will be provided with an opportunity to provide comment and input into the Basic Assessment process

A formal notification letter, locality map and a comment sheet are enclosed herewith for your use.

AVAILABILITY OF A DRAFT BASIC ASSESSMENT REPORT FOR PUBLIC REVIEW

In accordance with the EIA Regulations, a Draft Basic Assessment Report will be available for public review and comment by I&APs and stakeholders.  You will be informed of the 30-day public review period which is anticipated to occur in June/July 2016
