The vaal dam was at its lowest since 1966, this is according to my dad who told us how they flew in a little plane over the vaal dam and it was empty. So yes we are experiencing a major drought!!
Everyone is sharing advise on how to save water and there are a few amazing ideas that has come out of all this.
Then Monday afternoon there was a big storm. some of the highway at Gillolys interchange had to close down as it was flooded. The Jukskei came down and the bridges in Buccleuch was under water. What a magnifisent sight to see water coming right up to the car wash at The Bridge Shopping Centre. In the back of your mind you start worrying about the people who have to cross these bridges to the other side of Buccleuch as well as the houses being flooded.
