Feedback Re Stormwater from Gibson Road
BRACe has registered on the Database and have received the following feedback.
Thank you for your interest in this project. I have registered BRACe on the data base and will provide you with information as we proceed.
Some of the concerns/comments raised, I will forward them to the engineers for answering, but at this stage I can confirm that stormwater from Gibson Road will be directed by means of a pipe underneath the N3 and will then release into the river. Pipe jacking is a technology where specifically made pipes are tunnelled through the ground by hydraulic jacks thereby eliminating the need to dig up the road infrastructure. It offers greater transparency in terms of time and costs and is an environmentally friendly process. This method eliminates the need for the conventional open trench technique, which will not be possible across the N3 without major disruption.
